Car history:
1972 Corvette 4 speed, all original, numbers matching, with documentation. This 1972 4 speed Chevrolet Corvette is an all original numbers matching car with exceptional documentation. You may never find another corvette with this kind of original documentation. With the originality and documentation of this car, it will always increase in value and will give you options of possibly getting NCRS, Bloomington Survivor, etc. A true collector car for investment purposes should come with original documentation. The documentation separates a REAL collector corvette from just another corvette. If it doesn't have documentation, you shouldn't buy it. The documentation for this corvette includes:
Original Bill of Sale/Loan Documentation.
Original MSO--Manufacturers Statement of Origin (1 of 135 issued in 1972--Very Rare See http://www.corvettec3.ca/options.htm). This document is necessary to title a vehicle when the vehicle is being purchased from an out of state dealer. The document is normally turned into DMV, and a title is issued. In 1972 only 135 MSO's were issued for all corvettes. This car is one of those 135, and it comes with the original MSO document. I have only seen one other car with it's original MSO and it was a big bucks Barrett-Jackson corvette.
Corvette Order Copy (More commonly known as the Build Sheet or tank sticker). I was told that this document consisted of two copies. It was a carbon copied document with the second copy going on the gas tank (or other strange place). Who knows what normally happened to the top copy? Probably tossed in the trash. This car comes with the top copy (very rare) and most likely the carbon copy is still on the tank.
Original Warranty Card/Protect-o-Plate
Copy of Original Title
Copy of Second Owner Title
Window Sticker (Reproduction)
Original Owners Manual
Application for Michigan Title-Car was purchased from a dealer in Michigan and shipped to California prior to registration.

AND GET THIS--The original 1972 license plate sticker that was never attached to the plate. Original California Blue License Plates. Now let's talk about the originality of the car itself. I am the 3rd owner. The original owner owned the car from new until 9/2007. The second owner had it a short time, and I have had it even a shorter time. The car maintains its original California Blue plates and has 114,xxx original miles. For those of you that like "numbers":
Trim Tag: Trim 400 (Black Vinyl) 972 paint (Classic White)--All original.
Engine: Original 350/200 hp. Vin number is stamped on pad and "VO215CDH". Casting 3970010. Heads: Original Casting # 3973487.
Transmission: Original Muncie M-20 4-speed. The VIN number is stamped on the transmission; Maincase Casting 3925661; Sidecover Casting 3952648; Extension Housing Casting 3978764.
Rear End: Original Axle Casting # 3899143
Carburetor: Rochester Q-Jet 17054927--This is not the carburetor the car left the factory with. It is a direct GM Service Replacement.
Intake Manifold: 6263751-Original
Exhaust Manifolds: 3932461-Original
Alternator: 1100544-Original
Distributor: 1112050-Original
Wheels: Original AZ code Rally 15x8 wheels
The original smog equipment is on the car and functioning. The car still has the original air cleaner housing, distributor shielding, spare tire, Astro Ventilation glass and pretty much everything else. It has factory A/C that currently is blowing warm air. Needs recharge. The engine compartment is as original as it gets. The car drives very smoothly. There are no mechanical problems. The steering and suspension are tight. It is a very enjoyable car to drive. It has new Goodyear Eagle tires, new brake pads and freshly machined rotors, new power steering cylinder, and some suspension bushings. It also just had a four wheel alignment. I have these receipts. The transmission shifts very smoothly. The paint has some issues. I would rate it a "15 footer". It is in decent shape with the exception of the nose area. The paint on the nose is solid white, but has a lot of cracking. The headlight cover has a couple of areas where the paint peeled off and it was touched up. The paint on the hood is getting a little thin and you can see some of the fiberglass patterns. Bottom line on paint, if you want to go to shows or get NCRS now, have it painted. If you want to drive it and not worry about every little road hazard, it is ready to go as the pictures show. I was planning to put on a $100 bra, which would cover up most of the paint issues. The body is totally straight with no tears or cracks, etc. The frame is rock solid with no signs of rust.
The original interior is in very good condition. The driver seat is a little tired, with one small tear. The carpet is excellent everywhere except the driver side is a little worn below the clutch pedal. It has a new set of Corvette floor mats. The lights and wipers work great. THEY OPEN AND CLOSE WITH NO ISSUES. All gauges work with the exception of the oil pressure. The original AM/FM radio is in the car and working. The car is optioned with factory air, power steering, power brakes, and 3.36 rear gearing. This car is a true unmolested survivor.
